Does anybody remember a LONG time ago when I said I filmed one of our photo-shoots? Well I finally have a little preview of the video we are working on for that shoot! Check it out!

This weekend I was hired by Tucson Guide Magazine to photograph some items from different stores around town that will be featured in their "Best of Tucson" issue. Here are a couple of my fav shots from the shoot:

We got these really fun dresses to photograph from Maya Palace:



Ok, so I get excited about little things sometimes, and that star on her shoe in the next pic makes me happy :) (created in camera, not in photoshop for those who care)

~ Fun With Details!! ~

After I photographed her parents for their anniversary a couple weeks ago, Andria asked me if I would be willing to take some photos for her business Elements of Entertaining an event consulting firm that helps you create unique and effortless events. She is about to launch her new website and so I went over and took some product shots for her to put up there. It was a long day but we had a blast setting up little tables... and eating cupcakes... by the time we were all done we were exhausted and pretty slap happy. Here's a sneak peak at some of the images we got!

I was more than excited to be invited to be the business spotlight for this weeks edition of Inside Arizona Business which will air Sunday morning at 9:00 am on Tucson's channel 4. I was REALLY nervous since I've never done an interview like that before but was super excited and luckily I think I only put my foot in my mouth once during the interview! So I'm pretty proud of myself for that. Here are some photos Joey snapped during the taping:

And here I am in my interview inside the studio... isn't that AWESOME!!!! I was so excited I had one huge stupid grin on my face the whole time! You can see where they film the local news off in the corner over there too...

~ Dawnelle & Brandon • Engagement Session ~

After our whirlwind weekend, Joey and I caught up with Dawnelle & Brandon whose wedding we are shooting in May. We had so much fun running around Tucson with these two, and we covered some serious ground! All the way up to Mount Lemmon and back! Here are just a few of my favorite pics :) Enjoy.

• WPPI 2008 •

Joey and I are member of a international wedding and portrait association called WPPI, and every year they hold a huge convention in Vegas where you can see the newest products and hear from some of the top professionals in the field, so after our little trip to Portland we were on our way to Vegas to check out the convention for a few days:



The showroom floor was huge!



And I found many things I wanted... (this photo's for you mom!)



And some thing that will be coming soon to our studio!




We heard from amazing celebrity photographers like Dennis Reggie and Joe Buissink




And we topped off the trip with dinner at The Cheesecake Factory at Caesars Palace:



And now we're on our way home, inspired and excited for a new year full of photographs!!!

* Disclaimer: All photos were taken with our little point and shoot camera because I didn't want to carry our huge cameras around Vegas all day!*

"Falling" In love with Oregon

After Grace and Jeremy's wedding Joey and I decided we wanted to do a little bit of sightseeing before we had to take off and fly to vegas for a photo convention, so we rented a car and headed off into the wild "green" yonder... you'll see what I mean!

I've decided the photographers in Oregon and Washington have no excuse for taking bad photos, everywhere you point your camera here is beautiful!

~ Grace & Jeremy • March 14th 2008 ~

Joey and I were stoked when Grace asked us to fly up to Portland and photograph her wedding. We love any excuse we can get to get out of Tucson and do a little traveling! (even if I do hate flying!) I was a little worried though when we got off the plane and it was 40º and raining outside! However the next day turned out to be just a little overcast and made for perfect lighting for photos! *NOTE TO BRIDES!!!: Overcast days will often produce the best photographs... so don't freak out if it's going to be cloudy on your wedding day!* Originally the wedding was going to be at Canon Beach, but that ended up falling through and I was a bit sad. But when we pulled up and saw THIS was where the wedding was going to be instead I almost peed my pants I was so excited!



The building is called "The Academy" and we don't have many places like that in Arizona! So after that I knew it was going to be a good day! Here are some of the amazing photos we were blessed to capture:



Favorite!



Grace had her dress custom made just for her, it was beautiful! Even the bridesmaids dresses were custom made to match!






Jeremy & Grace decided to see each other before their ceremony, something that I am very in favor of, especially if when the ceremony won't be over until after dark. I'll post more about why I like it so much later, but basically we just make a time when you can both have some alone time together in a secluded spot before the wedding. I love this photo I captured of them embracing from my hiding space!




FAVORITE!!! This cool old building was right next door and I made sure that we got it in a couple shots!




Joey took this of me being stupid... (but getting a great photo!)



Here's the one of the resulting images... Defiantly worth the risk!



Everything about Grace & Jeremy's wedding was so vintage chic that I just had to do an old school portrait!

After photos we headed back inside for the ceremony. Isn't the chapel inside amazing!



They were just a tad excited about getting married!



I love taking photos of the people watching the ceremony, you never know what you're going to get!



At the reception they had the cutest table full of cupcakes for the guest and a little bitty cake for the two of them.




The ballroom was just as cute as the chapel!
