Whirlwind Anniversary Weekend

Wow! What a weekend! Joey and I are excited to say that we just finished up celebrating our 2nd wedding anniversary!!! Time flies so fast, it seems like we were just celebrating our 1st. I have to say I was a little worried that he had forgotten about it though since we have been so stressed out with house stuff, moving and work the last couple months, but he managed to pull off a pretty great 3 day celebration!

~Day One~

Saturday Joey took me down to Bisbee, Arizona and I have to say, Jerome has some competition now for my favorite town in Arizona because Bisbee was soooo cute! I love old towns with tons of character and it doesn't hurt if half the houses are sliding down a hill (not that I'd want to live in one, but it makes for some very cool pictures). So needless to say we had a great time wandering around Bisbee, taking pictures, and eating the best steak sandwich I've ever had. I will defiantly be going back there in the future!

~Day Two~

Sunday I awoke to find a rose on my pillow, cherry turnovers on the night-stand (gosh I love those things!) and Joey saying get up and at em' with a surprise trip up his sleeve. After hopping in the car and climbing up 9000 ft to the top of Mt. Lemmon I was blessed with a picnic lunch in the woods along with a sky-ride on the winter ski lift to the tippy top of the mountain. The best part of the trip was all the green pine trees and the temperature which was a cool 73º the whole time! Pretty nice compared the the 98º down in Tucson!

~Day Three~

Monday July 9th, Our Official Anniversary!

After getting all dressed up in the morning, Joey took us to a hotel for the night (since we're living with friends until our house is done on the 27th) we dropped off our bags and went out to lunch at Sauce were we got my all time favorite pizza "Chicken Caesar Salad Pizza" if it sounds weird, don't knock it till you try it because once you do you'll be addicted! Then Joey surprised me with the best surprise of them all..... BALLROOM DANCING LESSONS!!!! We Showed up at "'Shall We Dance" dance studio and had our first of four lessons were we learned the Fox-trot and the Waltz (or at least the basic steps to each). I am so excited since I am defiantly a ballroom dancing junkie! Not that I can dance, but I will watch any ballroom dancing movie till the tape dies, and then I'll get up and prance around the house trying to copy what I saw, usually with no success whatsoever. So yeah, you can bet I was excited to be actually learning how to dance!!! After our lesson we drove over to the Melting Pot, a fabulous little fondue restaurant here in town and snuggled up in a cozy little private corner booth with a curtain that closes for maximum privacy.... oohh la la!

Thank you my Darling Joseph for a wonderfully fabulous anniversary!

Liz Farkas and Colby Moeller ~ April 28th 2007

Joe and I had the pleasure of photographing Liz and Colby's wedding about a month ago, and it was so sweet. Unfortunately Liz broke her arm riding her bike about a week before the wedding, so she was a trooper going most of the day without the sling for pictures sake... I love this girl! They had their wedding at one of our favorite locations, The Stillwell House in downtown Tucson. The day started out very nasty weather wise and we were all praying for it to lighten up for their outdoor ceremony. And miraculously it did! However, we were still left with wind... which at one point in the ceremony completely blew Liz's veil away! But aside from being a little windblown the ceremony was so great, filled with special songs preformed by her father and a beautiful classical guitar piece written especially for them by Colby's best man. The best part of the whole ceremony however, was Colby's reaction to seeing Liz coming down the isle. Colby lost it, he just started crying, it was so sweet! I love it when the groom cries! So congrats you guys on your beautiful wedding and God Bless your future together!

I love this shot Joe caught of Colby in the bushes setting up for the ceremony.

Here's beautiful Liz right before they opened the doors...

Colby's crying and trying to get it together under that hand :)

Ok, so I have no idea why, but I'm a mirror addict! If there is a mirror I have to take a picture looking through it! Weird huh?

Happy Mother's Day to my mummy Cheryl and Joe's mummy Peggy!

We surprised them with a with a savager hunt that ended up in a breakfast in the park, then we all headed up to my favorite slice of Arizona, Jerome and walked around the town all day, going in all the little artists shops and eating lunch up at the Asylum. And somehow I even managed to find myself a pair of new shoes... funny how that works :)

Jon and Stephanie Exner ~ April 14th 2007

Wow, this wedding was beautiful! Jon and Stephanie had a morning wedding at Reflections at Saguaro Buttes. The weather couldn't have been more perfect. Note to brides to be: Take a hint from Stephanie, if you want your groom to be at the site on time, let him bring guitar hero and a football and get there early! The boys were having a blast on that thing all morning! But what can I say... it's a good game. :) Meanwhile the girls took it easy sipping on Starkbucks and having their hair done. Lucky for Stephanie her mom is a hairstylist! The wedding was hilarious, and everything was beautiful. Good luck you guys, Joe and I wish you the best!
