It's Demolition Time!
I was super lucky to get asked by one of the local newspapers to take some pics of demolition night on Extreme Home Makeover. It was FREEZING cold, but we toughed it out for 4 hours waiting for them to tear down the house. I guess I just always watch the show and everything happens so fast. That is not the case in reality, they shoot everything at least twice sometimes 3 or 4 times. (like the march up to the house, they shot that twice, and whenever Ty talks they shoot it like 3 times, and TONS of cheering crowd shots, they filmed the blue shirt wearing crowd cheering for close to an hour!) It was extra hard because everything happened after the sun went down, so they had to move around these big lights to make sure their cameras could capture everything.
Here are a few of the pics I was able to snag. They aren't amazing because they made all the media stand REALLY REALLY far away, so it was hard to get any good pics, but I managed to snag a couple.
During the show they did a mock fashion show where the cast made outfits out of the families old furniture and stuff, here's a shot of Ty Pennington grading the outfits...
Here's a shot of the bundled up crowd that was across the street with me, mostly neighbors and friends of the family.
Then FINALLY it was demo time, and they tore into the house! I'm not sure why watching things get torn down by a bulldozer is so fun, but it is!
Here's a little closer shot of Ty talking into the video camera to the family showing the home tumbling down behind him.
I'm gonna try and get back on set toward the end of filming as well so I can see how everything turns out!

Thrill The World!
I am so excited to have found this website!!!! They are a site deticated to trying to teach people the dance to each year have people all around the world do it at the same time and set a world record for the most people doing the dance at once. In 2008 they had 4,179 from 10 countries dance to the song all at the same time. The fun part is they have all the instructional videos breaking down each dance move for the whole song online for free!
Joey and I spent our whole night tonight trying to master the first 4 lessons, we had so much fun! I want to be able to break out our thriller moves at our next wedding, how fun would that be!?
Believe it or not this is something I've had on my to do list of things to learn for a while now. I've always wanted to be able to do it, and now I will! Maybe not quite like mr. Jackson, because, let's face it.... there is only Michael Jackson. But I'm sure going to be the best dead zombie I can be!
Yeah!!!!
If you want to learn the dance as well go to THRILLTHEWORLD.COM

Lisa & Memo: Engaged
Wow I feel like it's been forever since I've updated my blog with some new photos! And I am super stoked to share Lisa and Memo's engagment session with you guys! We had so much fun and hit up some awesome locations in Phoenix to shoot at. I can't wait for their wedding at the end of the year!
We started out at the Sanctuary Resort where they have TONS of one of my favorite colors all over the place, LIME GREEN! They even give their guest these awesome lime green flip flops and I was super tempted to snatch a pair for myself while we were walking around...
I <3 this photo... like a lot...
Lisa's one request was a shot with the mountains in the background, taken care of!
OMG... so I the next place we went in Phx is one of my fav hotel chains ever! The Mondrian. Their whole hotel is off the hook, crazy cool, weird, and very artistic. They have this awesome bar, appropriately named the "red bar" that was totally empty when we were there so we had some fun inside the bar and out on the patio. How cool a place is this to shoot!?
I had them move over for this one so cupid's arrow would be pointing right at them, a little corny I know, but still very fun!
Out on the patio they had these awesome red polka dot sofa things...
Isn't Lisa a natural model!?
Then we took a stroll in the park for a bit and got some pictures of them in their sports attire
You can see there is a bit of a rivalry going on! (Personally I'm on Memo's side, since I think all of Tucson would shoot me if I didn't give the Cats a shout out)
Oh and If you've ever been on a photoshoot and gone to change your outfit, have you ever wondered what the photographers do while you're away? Check there camera stuff? Scout out locations? No... we take photos of ourselves with the statues at the park... lol
Thank guys! I can't wait for your wedding later this year, I know it's going to be off the hook!

Guess Who's Coming To Town?!?!?!
One of the advantages of being married to a business reporter is sometimes I get some juicy info before anybody else knows about it! And tonight my hubby let it slip that my FAVORITE SHOW EVER is coming to town!!!!
Yes ladies and gentlemen you heard it first from me Mr. Ty Pennington himself will be coming to town to "MOVE THAT BUS!"
I cannot express how excited I am, and I am super stoked to find out if I can volunteer to help out! I will keep you guys posted as I find out any more details.
