Dawnelle & Brandon • May 8th 2008
Joey and I were so blessed to be a part of Dawnelle and Brandon's wedding yesterday at Saguaro Buttes. The day started off a little bumpy with a hair do disaster, but family and friends went to the rescue and salvaged Dawnelle's updo, and made it beautiful! Dawnelle was so sweet about the whole thing too, I know I would have been FREAKING! But after the hair do rescue things went pretty smoothly, and they had a beautiful wedding. Here are some of my favorite pics from yesterday:
Went a bit vintage with a few of these, doesn't Dawnelle look beautiful!
Her flowers were so pretty! I loved her bouquet...

And Brandon cleans up nicely too huh! Joe did and AWESOME job on this portrait of him!
I just couldn't stop taking pictures of Dawnelle! not only is she beautiful on the outside, she has such a wonderful spirit as well. It's hard to take your eyes off her!
The ceremony was right at sunset, and the lighting was GORGEOUS!
See :)

Yeah! We're Married!
More pretty golden light...
Ok, this photo is kind of funny, Brandon is a contractor and he actually did a lot of work at the wedding venue, and happened to lay the concrete where they are standing, so we snagged a few pics to show off his handy work!

I told you I couldn't stop taking pictures of her!
So, normally I try not to duplicate photos from another wedding I've done, but Dawnelle begged me to recreate one of my fav photos, and I just couldn't say no. So in the effort for uniqueness, I gave this one a bit of a vintage twist.

Fun With Flash
Last night, one of my friends and I decided to go out and take some photos with off camera flash, we rounded up a few friends to model, and had fun running around downtown taking photos. So I thought I'd post a couple of my favorite images from the shoot.

Didn't the girls do a great job!

• Introducing Custom Engagement Guestbooks •
Joey and I have been including these cute little books in our wedding package for a while now, but this is the very first one I've gotten to order and it turned out FANTASTIC! I ended up using a different company than I normally do but I am so impressed by this little book, they are definitely going to by one of my main album companies from now on! Here are some pics I took of the book, so you can see just how cute it is...
Here's the cover:
It has nice sturdy pages for writing on... it is a guestbook after all!
It's got a little something something on the spine...
It's cover is nice and thick to protect the pages inside...
Here's a couple of the spreads inside, although these photos of the book don't really do the image quality justice at all, because it's amazing!
We design the pages with questions for your guest to answer, instead of just signing their name...
Although we do have places for guests to sign their name as well...
The photos can go right across both pages...
And they lay completely flat when opened.
And here's some final details of the book...
Aren't they cute! I'm so excited to be offering these to our clients!

Micah + Susie
Joey's cousin Micah and his finacé Susie came down the other week so we could take a couple quick pics of them for there wedding that I am photographing next month (Joey's a groomsman). These two have such an amazing story and you can tell that they just BELONG together. Susie was diagnosed with cancer several years ago and has recently been pronounced cancer free! We are so excited for these two and can't wait for their wedding!

While we were shooting I made a half serious half joking suggestion that they should jump into the fountain, and to my surprise they were like.. "ok!" I nearly flipped my lid I was so excited!
Not long after we were taking pictures Susie decided to bump the action up a notch... I love how oblivious Micah is....
Well from there it just turned into an all out water fight...
And Susie ended up getting pretty darn wet... but somehow being wet makes things so much hotter!
After we all dried off a bit (since I was in the fountain too) We all got in the car and headed up to La Paloma to grab some sunset photos...

I know silhouettes are kinda cheesy these days, but I still really like them for some reason... and with a sunset like this, who can argue!
