Fashion Shoot with Leah

It was a funny twist of fate that brought this shoot about, and I suppose my tendency to eavesdrop. I was meeting a client at paradise bakery and while waiting for her to arrive I overheard one of the employees talking about her modeling career and how she needed some new portfolio photographs. She mentioned that she was trying to get in touch with up and coming photographers that wanted to build their portfolio as well so that she could get the shoot for free. Having just talked to my hubby Joe about needing a model to practice on I went up and introduced myself and said I would love to do a shoot with her. So, after having said all that here are the photos from the shoot we did, THEY ARE AMAZING! I am so happy with myself, I feel like my camera and I are finally one. Leah was great as well, she's was so much fun to just hang out with as well as photograph. In short, we both had a blast. Here some of my favorite shots from the day for you to enjoy!

Adriane & Diego Claramunt

I headed off to Sedona Arizona on tuesday to capture the wedding of one of my good friends Adriane and her hubby to be Diego! I have to admit I was a little worried going into the day since this was going to be my first night wedding, and although I knew everything would turn out fine, I was still a little worried about things going just right for them. However, contrary to all my pre-conjured thoughts the wedding was a BLAST and the photos turned out GREAT! They were so much fun all day goofing around with their friends and just generally having a good time of it. I have to say that I've known Adriane for a while and Diego is by a landslide the best guy I've ever seen her with, they really and truly are made for each other. I've always been skeptical of internet dating, but this wedding was like a walking billboard for E-Harmony.Com. After making fun of her sister for using E-Harmony Adriane decided to give it a try, a couple weeks later she met Diego and their fist phone conversation lasted 9 HOURS!!! He's so perfect for her and treats her like a princess, I so happy for the both of them. I started crying during the ceremony so hard I couldn't see through my viewfinder anymore! Anyway, without further ado here is their beautiful, fun-filled wedding!

The Acker Music Festival ~ Prescott, Arizona

This past weekend Joe and I got to go up to Prescott for my favorite christmas time event; the Acker Music Festival! We had a blast walking around all the stores downtown and listening to the musicians they had playing in each. Not to mention all the free hot chocolate and cookies you could eat! My favorite group for the past two years has been the Jug Band that plays in the Elks Theatre, it's basically a comedy routine, and funny every time I hear it! Joe (being the drummer that he is) likes the steel drums best. Last but not least on my list of top stops was the hand bell choir, it just looks so cool!

Michele & Dominic
November 11th 2006

This past weekend I had the honor of being a second shooter with Bruce Erik Steffine at Michele and Dominic's classy Black and White wedding! I had a blast! Michele was so sweet the whole day, so was everybody else for that matter. I started shooting at Saint Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church photographing the girls getting into their dresses and doing last minute touch-ups.

Walking down the stairs to the aisle

The ceremony... I really loved the mural on the back wall, it caught the light so well and the colors just popped out at you.

And now for everything else... ;)

A big thanks to Bruce Erik Steffine for letting me tag along!

Cinematic Senior Session!

This past weekend my family and I had a blast filming a promotional video for my senior portrait business, which hopefully should be done in the next month or two... yeah! I'm so excited about it, it's gonna be awesome. We started off the day at my house doing hair and make-up to my beautiful willing model, my lil' sis, Kasie. Then we again hit downtown and began the shoot; her and my younger brother-in-law Jesse took turns being my model. Kasie left us after lunch to head home and finish up some schoolwork but Jesse and my crew (consisting of my handsome hubby, my oldest brother-in-law Jason, and my youngest brother-in-law Jesse) all headed to a baseball park to get some more pics of Jesse. Finally we wrapped up the shoot by filming an intro to the video in the woods by my house at night. It was awesome! My dad had just bought a fog machine and so we were like, heck, lets figure out a way to use it, so now the intro is reminiscent of the intro to the show Unsolved Mysteries where the guy emerges out of the foggy night. I look like a dork on camera buy I tried my best and left the movie magic up to my sis who is also a film school student. So hopefully I'll have that video up here by the end of December. Anyway, here are some of the shots we got while filming the video. Hope you enjoy!
