FINE ART PHOTOS WITH JOE

Joe and I went out today and did some pics for my fine art photography class at the U of A. I used a 4x5 camera for the film but I did some duplicate shots with my digital to. (Can't live without that instant gratification!) I've been wanting to do a shoot across the street from our house where they are in the middle of tearing down some old buildings for a couple weeks now, and today I finally had the chance. A special thanks to my wonderful hubby for dressing up in black formal wear in the 95 degree weather! Here are two of my favorite shots that I captured with the digital, I'll try and post some more real black and white prints when I get them developed and printed. I hope you enjoy!

Amber and Matthew Brown ~ February 24th 2007

I am so excited to post this wedding, the bride and groom, the location, the family, the emotion, everything about this day was simply amazing and moving. Amber and Matthew couldn't be sweeter, and I am so glad that they picked me to share their special day with. They are both so real with their emotions that it was an overwhelming joy to photograph them (that and they are both drop dead gorgeous!). The wedding was at the historic Arizona Inn here in Tucson arizona, it was so wonderful to work there with all the green foliage, such a change from the typical tucson landscape. Their ceremony even had me crying. Then when it came time for pictures, not only were the Bride and Groom wonderful but so were their families! I've never had such an easy formal family session. And of course their reception couldn't have been more perfect either. Amber LOVES old movies (her living room is straight out of the 1940's she even has a Marilyn Monroe bathroom!) so for their reception she marked each table with an old movie and then the name cards looked like movie tickets, it was such a sweet personal touch to the day. And finally Amber totally broke down crying during her Father-Daughter dance, they both the swayed back and forth holding each other, it was SOOOOOOO sweet! So as you can imagine, it was a great day, and without further ado here are some pictures, I hope you enjoy them as much as I enjoyed taking them!

Fashion Shoot With Melanie Campbell

I had the great pleasure of getting to do a shoot with Melanie a couple weeks back, she was so great to work with and we had so much in common we almost spent as much time talking as we did taking pictures it was a blast. We started out downtown and later we moved to Trail Dust town for some fun western looking shots. As always here are some of my favs shots from the shoot.

Colby & Liz - Engagement Session

Here are some of the pics I got from an e-session I did a couple weeks ago with Colby and Liz. I have to say when I first met them I thought they were going to be the more reserved type, nothing too crazy. Then we got together to do their e-session and I couldn't have been more wrong. They are crazy... I LOVE IT! They were up for any and everything, it was great. We went to Degrazia Chapel again, a place I am beginning to love, a big thanks to Amber and Matthew for showing me the spot. This time one of the old adobe buildings was open and we snuck in there for a couple pics, that light was just amazing. So without further ado, here are the pics. :)

First we got the one for Mom and Dad out of the way..

And then we got a little more artzy...

Hmm... I just noticed all the ones I liked were horizontal pics, which is strange because I typically have to remember to turn my camera that direction since I usually prefer vertical pics. How odd... but in a good way. :)
